If you saw my post about a month back, then you are aware that Fender Musical Instruments Corporation released their all new American Special Series of guitars. Now they have just released their new American Deluxe Series of instruments. They are the most expensive and well built instruments you can buy from Fender USA, before going into their supreme Fender Custom Shop offerings. These new guitars and basses feature all new improved hardware, new finish options and their brand new Fender N3 Noiseless pickups. I was expecting an update from this series for a few weeks. A little while back they lowered the price of this series to just $1299.99 (down from 1599.99). I’m interested to see if they have improved these models over their previous models. A few years ago they re-hauled their American Standard Series, and I was very unhappy with it. The necks didn’t play like the older models, and they replaced the bridge saddles with vintage-style ones (bad for tuning stability and tone). Hopefully though these are an actual improvement and not another way for Fender to cut costs and increase profits. More to come soon…but in the meantime enjoy their newly released promotional video.
